Commercial Snow Removal in Kitchener
Small lots, entrances and walkways cleared before you open, for properties too small to interest a large contractor.
Kitchener Snow & Ice is a residential company. We take small commercial properties because they need the same equipment and the same routes, and because the operators of those properties are frequently told they are too small to bother with.
What We Take
Small lots with a handful of spaces. Shared rear driveways behind a row of units. Walk-in entrances, the walkway to the door, and the steps. Ice control on the surfaces customers actually walk across.
These sites sit in an awkward gap. A large commercial contractor is bringing equipment sized for a shopping plaza, which does not fit and does not price sensibly for six parking spaces. A residential setup handles them well, because a small commercial lot is closer to a long driveway than to a distribution centre.
What We Do Not Take
Large retail lots, industrial yards, distribution facilities and anything needing multiple machines running through the night. That work needs loaders, pushers and a crew structure built for scale, and there are established contractors across Waterloo Region who are properly equipped for it.
Taking a site we are not set up for would mean a lot cleared late by machines that are too small, which is worse for the operator than being turned down honestly in September.
Before You Open
The commercial deadline is not a depth, it is a time. The lot and the entrance need to be clear and treated before customers or staff arrive, and that time goes into the written agreement rather than being left to interpretation.
Ice control on entrances and walkways is part of every commercial visit. A cleared lot with an untreated entrance is where a slip-and-fall claim starts, and on a commercial property that exposure sits with the operator.

Commercial Snow Removal Questions
What size of property does this suit?
Small ones. A handful of parking spaces, a shared driveway behind a row of units, a walk-in entrance on a main street. Properties where a full commercial contractor with loaders and pushers is more machine than the site can use, and where the operator has often been told they are too small to be worth quoting.
Do you handle large industrial or retail sites?
No. Large lots need equipment and overnight crew capacity built for that scale, and there are contractors in this region set up for exactly that. Sending the wrong equipment to a big site serves nobody, and we would rather say so than take the contract and underdeliver.
How early can the lot be clear?
Before you open, which is the only deadline that matters commercially. That is written into the agreement as a time rather than left vague, because a lot cleared at ten is a lot that lost you the morning.
